i carry your heart with me
(i carry it in my heart)
i am never without it
(anywhere i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear no fate
(for you are my fate,my sweet)
i want no world
(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

I'm going to Korea, gonna eat a lot of kimchi

The details:
I am going to be in Anayng, South Korea. I really know nothing about it except that it has a pretty sweet park and a lot of bars. If you zoom out you can go up and see that Seoul is not only HUGE but pretty close.

I am going to be working at HABA playschool which is a private school, or Hagwan, for kindergarten and elementary school aged kids. Their curriculum I guess is based on the idea the children learn best by having fun so I've been told that there is at least one field trip a week and that you teach through doing activities like cooking, doing art projects and of course singing/dancing. Their website is all in Korean but you can see what the school looks like and the absolutely adorable faces of the students there. I'm really excited to meet these little ones although I am nervous about the whole teaching thing. I'm taking over a girl from New Zelands contract so I will only be teaching for 8.5 months and not the standard year. Which I think is really nice!

My apartment is apparently pretty nice. It has a loft bed and a view of the mountains on a clear day. Here are some of the pictures that the girl whose contract I'm taking over sent me.

and one of the view!

Overall sounds like a sweet deal. I'm so excited, and a little intimidated as well, to see what SK has in store for me.

p.s. The title of this post should be read as if you were singing along to the Presidents of the United States song Peaches

p.p.s. For anyone who is interested in Korean culture and all it has to offer here is an interesting article from Matador. From what David says everything holds pretty true... although he has only seen one protest/riot haha

"drink it in. because this is it."

30 days until I fly off to Korea.
30 days until I say goodbye for now to the Pacific Northwest.
30 days until anything and everything.
30 days until most of what I know will be half a world away.
30 days until I will wander but won't be lost anymore.
30 days until I won't know what some of my favorite people are doing almost every hour of the day.
30 days until comfort, stability and safety are challenged.
30 days until someday is today.
30 days until I can't be frustrated by my mothers calls and endless questions...but probably will want to be.
30 days until I meet the world.
